Got a harvester sittin' idle cause the solenoid valve went out, this a normally closed setup or does it default open when power cuts?

Normally closed is exactly what you've got here. When the coil loses power, the valve shuts off flow, so no hydraulic fluid passes through until the solenoid energizes again. For harvester applications that's usually the safer behavior since a loss of power means the system stops rather than stays live. The valve runs on 230 volts and handles up to 23 liters per minute, so confirm your system's flow demand falls within that range before swapping it in.
