trying to hook a 3/8 hose up to a regular garden hose fitting, is this the right adapter?

For that kind of hookup, it’s made to take a 3/8 inch hose barb on one end and give you a 3/4 inch male garden hose thread on the other, so a barbed hose line can terminate at a standard garden hose connection.
