trying to match up a reusable fitting i already got, is this one the JIC 37° male with a -6 hose size?

you got it right on both counts. The hose end takes a -6 dash size hose, and the male connection is a JIC 37-degree flare, which is the SAE 37 thread type. Male end size comes in at 0.5625. So if you're building up a -6 hose assembly and need a JIC male on one end, this one fits the bill.
