rotation on this one is clockwise out of the box, but can it be flipped to run counter-clockwise if needed?

Clockwise is the default, but reversing the rotation is doable. You swap the positions of the drive shaft and the driven shaft, then rotate the front flange. No special tooling or parts are required beyond what comes with the unit. Just make sure you account for that change when hydraulic connections your inlet and outlet lines.

Reckon this'll bolt right up to a standard SAE A mount?

It sure will. This gear pump uses a 2-bolt SAE A mounting flange, so it should fit your application if you've already got that standard in place.

got a 2-bolt SAE A mount and SAE -12 suction with a -10 pressure line. is this pump set up that way, or am i gonna be adapting stuff

Fit-wise it matches that setup. It has a 2-bolt SAE A mounting flange, an SAE -12 inlet port, and an SAE -10 outlet port.

rotation on this one is clockwise out of the box, but what if my setup needs CCW, is that something that can be changed or am I looking at a different pump altogether?

Clockwise is the standard rotation as stocked, but switching to counterclockwise is doable. You reverse the position of the drive shaft and driven shaft, then rotate the front flange. No need to source a separate pump just for rotation direction.
