Product Questions & Answers

got a steam line that sees a lot of vibration, is this hose built to handle that kind of shaking around?
Question by: Sherry J on Apr 28, 2025, 3:31 PM
Built for rough service, the TEF hose is called out for withstanding vibration and impulsing, and it uses a stainless steel braid over a Teflon tube with a premium abrasion resistant cover.

hose says not recommended for steam-cold water cycling, what exactly does that mean for compressor discharge use?
Question by: Hank O on Jul 23, 2025, 11:05 AM
Compressor discharge is actually one of the applications this hose is built for, so you're fine there. The steam-cold water cycling restriction is specifically about situations where the hose gets hit with steam and then rapidly cooled with cold water in repeated cycles, like certain cleaning or sterilization setups. That kind of thermal shock back and forth is what causes problems. Straight compressor discharge duty, even at elevated temps, doesn't put that same kind of stress on the hose.
