motor's only 5.12 inches wide, that gonna be tight enough to fit in a spot where space is real limited?

Compact build is one of the main selling points on this unit. At 5.12 inches wide, it fits into tight installations where a larger motor just wouldn't work. That's intentional in the Series 26 design, so yes, confined mounting spaces are exactly where this thing was built to go.
