been looking for a Series 26 gear motor and this part number keeps coming up, is the 26704-DAA the Eaton Char-Lynn version or the Danfoss version?

Both, actually. Eaton Char-Lynn originally made the Series 26 line, and Danfoss Power Solutions took over that product family when they acquired the business. The 26704-DAA is the same motor sold under both names depending on when it was sourced. You're getting the same unit either way.
