Will this gear pump work on my tractor, I use it for mowing mostly?

pump says it's field reversible -- what does that actually mean for installation? do i need extra parts or anything special to flip the direction?

Field reversible means you can change the rotation direction of the pump right on the job without swapping out components or ordering additional parts. That kind of flexibility matters a lot when you're fitting a replacement into an existing circuit that may run clockwise or counterclockwise depending on how the machine was originally plumbed.
