pump says it's field reversible, what does that actually mean for somebody swapping it into an existing setup?

Rotation direction on this pump can be changed in the field without sending it back or ordering a separate model. So if your system runs clockwise and the replacement you pulled was counterclockwise, you're not stuck hunting down a different unit. That kind of flexibility matters when you're mid-job and need to get a machine back up without waiting on parts.
