pump says it's field reversible -- does that mean I can just swap the rotation on it without pulling it off the machine, or is there more to it than that?

Field reversible means the rotation direction can be changed without replacing the unit itself. On the Series 26, that swap can be made on the equipment rather than having to send it back or swap in a whole new pump. Exact steps will vary by how it's mounted, but you don't need a new pump just because your circuit runs the opposite direction.

reckon this gear pump would hold up okay on my tractor's hydraulic system?
