Can this gear pump handle cold weather without issues?

It's rated down to -20°C, so it should operate reliably in cold conditions.

pump says it's field reversible, how hard is that to actually do out in the field without pulling the whole unit off the machine?

Reversing the rotation direction on this pump is built to be done without swapping out the unit entirely.
