Product Questions & Answers

pump says it's field reversible -- does that mean i can swap the rotation direction without pulling it apart or sending it back out?
Question by: Cody C on Jun 8, 2025, 3:16 PM
Field reversible means you can change the rotation direction on-site without returning the unit or doing a full teardown. For gear pumps in this series, that's a real time-saver when you're reconfiguring a circuit or swapping it into a different machine than originally planned. Just make sure your port orientation and hydraulic connections match up after the change.

got a steering circuit on a tractor, would this gear pump make sense for that kind of setup?
Question by: Rhonda F on Feb 3, 2026, 2:11 PM
For steering circuits, this pump is a common fit in the types of equipment it’s aimed at, including tractors and harvesters. It’s an external gear pump in the Danfoss Power Solutions (Eaton Char-Lynn) Series 26 family, and the feature set calls out reduced noise and vibration plus improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency, which are both helpful in steering and other hydraulic functions.

Hey, I'm looking at this for a tractor, you reckon it'll hold up alright?
Question by: Debbie H on Oct 27, 2025, 9:36 AM
Application-wise, it's good to go. These GR pumps are used in tractors and harvesters, so it should be right at home.
