pump says it's field reversible - does that mean I can swap the rotation direction on-site without swapping out the whole unit?

Correct. The Series 26 is built so you can reverse the pump's rotational direction in the field, which means you're not locked into one configuration at the time of installation. If your setup changes or you find you need to run it the opposite direction, you can do that without sourcing a different pump altogether. Handy for situations where the install doesn't go exactly as planned.
