pump works in both rotation directions or do I need to order a specific one for my setup?

Field-reversible rotation is built into this pump, so you can run it in either direction without swapping out any extra components. That makes it a lot more flexible when you're working around existing mounting configurations and don't want the headache of sourcing a direction-specific unit.
