does this pump work for both directions or do you have to spec it one way when you order?

Field-reversible rotation is built right into this unit, so you don't have to commit to a direction at the time of purchase. You can set it for clockwise or counterclockwise operation during installation, which makes it a lot easier to work with across different equipment setups without needing a separate pump for each application.
