reckon this critter will hold up okay on my tractor for bush hogging? I ain't tryin to tear it up.

Application-wise, it's definitely meant for tractors and harvesters, so brush hogging should be fine, but make sure you're staying within the recommended operating temperatures. This unit is good down to -20°C.
