does this pump work on a field reversible setup or do you have to order it a specific direction?

Field reversible is built right into this pump, so you're not locked into one rotation direction out of the box. You can swap the direction without swapping the unit, which saves a good bit of hassle when you're working through a replacement or a circuit redesign.
