pump says it's field reversible, what does that actually mean for somebody swapping it into a machine that was running the opposite rotation?

Field reversible means you can change the pump's rotation direction without sending it back to a shop or swapping in a different unit. On gear pumps like this Series 26, that's a real practical advantage when you're dropping it into a system that was built around a different input shaft rotation. You can make the adjustment on-site, which cuts down on downtime and keeps you from having to stock two separate pumps just to cover both setups.
