got a mower with an auxiliary work circuit, is this gear pump the kind folks use for that?

pump direction on this unit -- is it field reversible or do I have to order a different one for the application?

Rotation can be reversed right in the field on this pump, so there's no need to source a separate unit just because your circuit runs the opposite direction. That's one of the handier features on the Series 26, especially when you're swapping it into a machine that was originally set up differently than you expected.
