Product Questions & Answers

got a mower with an aux circuit. is this the kind of pump folks run for that, or am i lookin at the wrong thing
Question by: Hubert E on Sep 23, 2025, 10:08 AM
For auxiliary work circuits, rotary and reel mowers, and even fan drive systems, this Eaton Char-Lynn (Danfoss Power Solutions) Series 26 external gear pump is a common fit from an application standpoint. It is built as a fixed displacement external gear pump and is used across equipment like tractors, harvesters, and sweepers where those kinds of circuits show up.

pump says field reversible, how hard is it actually to flip the rotation on one of these?
Question by: Stan Y on Mar 25, 2025, 7:34 PM
Swapping the rotation direction on this gear pump is something you can do in the field without sending it back or tearing into the internals. The Series 26 is built with that capability, so if your setup runs the opposite direction from what it shipped, you are not stuck. Just follow the proper procedure for your configuration and you should be back up and running without much downtime.

Will this pump work okay on my tractor's hydraulic system? It's an older model.
Question by: Lance B on Jul 21, 2025, 8:20 PM
This Cessna pump is often used in tractors and harvesters, so it should be suitable, assuming the specifications align with your tractor's requirements.
