pump direction being field reversible, does that mean I can swap it on the machine without pulling everything apart to change rotation?

Field reversible means you can change the pump's rotation direction right where it's installed without major disassembly. That's a real convenience when you're adapting it to a different drive setup or swapping it onto equipment that runs the opposite direction from what you had before.
