pump says it's field reversible, what does that actually mean for how I set it up on the machine?

Field reversible means you can change the rotation direction of the pump without sending it back to a shop or swapping it out for a different unit. Out on a job site or in the field, you can reconfigure it to match whichever direction your power source spins. Will this gear pump work okay in colder weather? I'm thinkin' down to about -20°C.
