pump works on both my tractor and my harvester or is it only good for one type of machine?

Fixed displacement external gear pumps like this one get used across a pretty wide range of agricultural equipment. Tractors, harvesters, rotary mowers, reel mowers, all of those are listed application types for this pump. So if you're running it in either of those setups, you're well within its intended use.
