pump says it's field reversible -- does that mean I can just swap the rotation direction out in the field without sending it back somewhere or pulling it all apart?

direction can be changed right where the machine sits without pulling the pump for a rebuild or sending it off. That reversibility is built into the Series 26 design, so if your circuit calls for a different rotation than what you originally set up, you can make that change on-site. It's one of the more practical features on this pump for anyone running equipment that gets reconfigured between seasons or jobs.

Reckon this'd work on my tractor for the hydraulics? It's an older model, but I need to get it up and running.

This Danfoss / Eaton Series 26 gear pump is indeed suitable for tractors, as well as harvesters. It's also good for machine tools and steering circuits.
