pump says it's field reversible - does that mean I can swap rotation direction right on the job without pulling anything apart or ordering extra parts?

Correct on both counts. Rotation direction can be changed in the field without additional components, so if a machine's hydraulic connections runs opposite to what you expected, you're not stuck waiting on parts or sending it back. That kind of flexibility saves real time during installation or when swapping it into a replacement application.
