pump says field-reversible on the direction -- what exactly does that mean for someone swapping it onto different equipment?

Field-reversible means you can change the rotation direction of the pump without sending it back to a shop or swapping it out for a different unit. If you're moving it from one machine to another that runs the drive in the opposite direction, you can make that adjustment on-site. That kind of flexibility is worth a lot when you're running it across different equipment like tractors, lift trucks, or auxiliary work circuits where shaft rotation isn't always the same.
