pump says it's field reversible, what does that actually mean for somebody swapping it onto different equipment?

Rotation direction on this pump can be changed without pulling a new unit off the shelf. If you're moving it from one machine to another and the drive shaft spins the opposite way, you can reconfigure it in the field rather than sourcing a separate model. That kind of flexibility saves real time when you're running mixed equipment and can't afford a long wait on parts.

It's definitely suitable for lift trucks. This gear pump is also used in tractors, harvesters, machine tools, steering circuits, compactors, sweepers, rotary mowers, fan drive systems and auxiliary work circuits.
