pump says it's field reversible, does that mean I can swap the rotation direction myself out in the shop without sending it back anywhere?

you can do that right where you are. Field reversible means the rotation direction can be changed on-site without having to return the pump or send it out for modification. That's a real convenience when you're swapping it into a circuit that runs the opposite direction from what the previous pump did.
