got a compact tractor with a hydraulic pump that’s been noisy and kinda shaky, is this GR gear pump meant to run smoother?

pump can be run in either direction or is it set one way from the factory?

Field reversible pump direction is built into the design, so you can swap rotation without needing a separate unit for each application. That makes it a lot more flexible when you're fitting it into existing equipment or replacing a pump where the drive spins the opposite way from what you might expect.
