Product Questions & Answers

got a 1/2 inch nptf port but the line im tying into is 1/4 nptf. is this the right bushing adapter?
Question by: Cindy P on Sep 24, 2025, 8:50 AM
For stepping a 1/2 inch NPTF male end down to a 1/4 inch NPTF female end, this 2081 Series reducer adapter matches that setup. It is an NPTF male to NPTF female bushing adapter with end sizes 0.5 and 0.25.

what's the thread size difference between the two ends on this reducer? trying to step down from half inch to quarter inch pipe fittings and wanna make sure I got the right part
Question by: Dwight G on Aug 16, 2025, 9:22 AM
Both ends are NPTF threaded. The male end is 1/2 inch and the female end is 1/4 inch, so yes, this reducer steps you down from a half-inch male pipe connection to a quarter-inch female pipe connection. That matches up with standard reducer bushing applications where you're transitioning between two different pipe sizes in a hydraulic or fluid line setup.

What’s the purpose of this reducer adapter?
Question by: Larry G on Mar 14, 2026, 5:51 PM
Essentially, this adapter steps down from a 1/2" male NPTF pipe thread to a 1/4" female NPTF pipe thread.
