pump says field reversible -- does that mean I can change rotation direction myself once it's already mounted up, or does it have to come back apart to do it?

Field reversibility means you can swap the rotation direction without sending it out or doing a full teardown. It's set up to allow that adjustment on site, which saves real time when you're working through an installation and realize the shaft needs to turn the other way.
