Does this pump work if you need to flip the rotation direction out in the field, or is that something you gotta have done at a shop?

Field-reversible rotation is built right into this pump, so you can swap direction without pulling it out and sending it somewhere. No extra components needed to make that change. It's one of the more practical features on this unit, especially when you're working through different circuit configurations and don't want downtime waiting on a rebuild.
