pump says it's field reversible -- what does that actually mean for someone swapping it onto a different machine?

Field-reversible pump direction means you can change which way the pump rotates without sending it back to a shop or swapping it out for a different model. That's handy when you're moving it from one piece of equipment to another that runs the opposite rotation. You make the adjustment on-site rather than ordering a whole separate unit.
