Does this pump work in both directions or do you have to order a specific rotation when you buy it?

Field reversible is built right into this unit, so you're not locked into one rotation at purchase. You can change the direction on-site without needing a separate pump for each application. That's handy when you're dealing with equipment that wasn't originally spec'd for a fixed-rotation setup.
