Got a 3/8 NPT port on a fitting block and need to run a flare line off it at a right angle. This the piece that would handle that?

That's exactly the application this fitting covers. One end threads into a 3/8 female NPT port, and the other connects to a 3/8 male SAE 45 degree flare line. The 90 degree elbow body lets you make that directional change right at the port without needing extra tubing or a separate adapter in line.
