got a hose end with a 9/16-18 JIC flare, will this elbow mate up with it and then go into a 3/8-18 pipe port?

For hooking a JIC hose to a pipe-threaded port at a 90 degree turn, this fitting matches up as male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one side (9/16-18, SAE J514) and male NPTF on the other (3/8-18, SAE J476).
