Is this elbow made for really tight spots?

Its centerline length is just a hair over 1 mm, and the overall length is just a tad longer, so it should fit where space is tight.

got a hose end with a 9/16-18 JIC flare, will this elbow screw right on and turn it 90 degrees?

For a 90 degree turn between two different thread types, it uses a #6 male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one end with 9/16-18 threads, and a #4 male NPTF on the other end with 1/4-18 threads.
