Does this fitting have any adjustable end to it, or is it fixed once you put it in?

Fixed on both ends. No adjustable feature on this elbow, so the orientation is set when you install it. That's worth accounting for before you thread it in, especially if you're working in a tight spot where repositioning after the fact isn't easy.

got a tight spot on a hydraulic line. is this fitting a fixed 90, or can you clock it where you need it

With this elbow you are working with a non-adjustable 90 degree body, so the ends do not swivel for clocking. It is meant to be a simple, stable right-angle connection.
