Got a line running 1-5/8-12 female JIC on one end and need to step it down to a 1-5/16-12 male JIC, this the right part for that?

That's what this reducer is built for. One end is a Female JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare at 1-5/8-12 and the other is a Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare at 1-5/16-12, both conforming to SAE J514. If those are your thread sizes and connection types, this is a straight drop-in solution.
