got a hose end thats 7/8-14 female jic, will this step it down to a 9/16-18 male jic?

For stepping down a JIC flare connection, this reducer goes from a 7/8-14 female JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one end to a 9/16-18 male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on the other, both to SAE J514.

Will this here reducer work with standard JIC fittings then?

Yes sir, this straight reducer features both a female JIC SAE 37-degree flare and a male JIC SAE 37-degree flare, so it should work fine with standard JIC fittings. It conforms to SAE J514 standards too.
