trying to swap out an old adapter, is this one male JIC on one side and female pipe thread on the other?

On the B1 end it has a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare per SAE J514, and the B2 end is a female NPTF pipe thread per SAE J476. Thread sizes are 1-1/16-12 (JIC) and 1-11-1/2 (NPTF).

got a female NPTF port on a manifold that's 1-1/16 NPT, will this straight adapter thread right into it, or am I looking at the wrong fitting?

The female end on this adapter is sized at 1-11-1/2 NPTF, which is a standard 1-inch NPTF thread conforming to SAE J476. If your manifold port matches that thread size, it'll fit. The male JIC side comes out at 1-1/16-12, so you'd be connecting a JIC 37-degree flare hose or line on that end. Just make sure your port is true NPTF and not a lookalike thread before you go to press.
