trying to hook a #20 JIC hose end into a 1-1/2 NPTF port, is this the straight adapter for that?

It bridges a male JIC 37 degree flare on one side and a male NPTF thread on the other. The JIC end is 1-5/8-12 (SAE J514) and the NPTF end is 1-1/2-11-1/2 (SAE J476), so it matches the combo you described in a straight steel fitting.

Will this fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system running at 2500 psi, maybe spiking a little higher sometimes?
