Thread specs on this one got me second-guessing myself. The JIC end is 1-1/16-12 and the NPTF side is 1/2-14, that right?

those numbers check out. The B1 end is a Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare at 1-1/16-12, built to SAE J514. The B2 end is a Male NPTF at 1/2-14, built to SAE J476. Both threads are male, so keep that in mind when you're sorting out what's on your mating components.

It's got two different thread sizes: one end is 1-1/16-12 and the other is 1/2-14.

i got a hose end that’s 37 degree JIC, and the port i’m going into is NPTF. is this the right adapter to marry those up?

For tying those two thread styles together, this adapter is set up with a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one end (SAE J514) and a male NPTF on the other (SAE J476). The thread sizes are 1-1/16-12 on the JIC side and 1/2-14 on the NPTF side.
