got a hose end that’s 3/4-16 JIC 37 degree flare. will this adapt it over to 1/4-18 NPTF?

Function-wise, it is a straight adapter that goes from a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare (3/4-16, SAE J514) on one side to a male NPTF (1/4-18, SAE J476) on the other.

Got a fitting with a 3/4-16 JIC flare on one end and need to tie into a 1/4-18 NPTF port on a pump housing. This the right adapter for that?

That's what this one's built for. One end is a Male JIC SAE 37 degree flare at 3/4-16, and the other is a Male NPTF at 1/4-18. Both thread specs meet SAE standards, J514 on the JIC side and J476 on the NPTF side, so it should drop right into that kind of setup without any adapter gymnastics.
