thread sizes on this thing got me turned around a little, the JIC side is 9/16-18 and the NPTF side is 1-11-1/2, that right?

You got it. The JIC end runs a 9/16-18 thread and connects using a 37-degree flare, built to SAE J514. The NPTF side is a 1-inch 11-1/2 threads-per-inch connection, covered under SAE J476. Both ends are male, so make sure your mating ports are female on each side before you go to install it.

got a hose end with a 9/16-18 JIC flare, will this screw right into it and then into a 1 inch nptf port?

Match the thread details and it lines up: one end is a #6 male JIC 37 degree flare with 9/16-18 threads, and the other end is a #16 male NPTF with 1-11-1/2 threads. It is a straight steel adapter in Brennan’s 2404 series.
