trying to hook a JIC line into a port that’s NPTF, is this the right straight adapter for that?

For joining those two thread styles, it’s a straight steel adapter with a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one end (1/2-20) and a male NPTF on the other (1/8-27), built to SAE J514 and SAE J476 thread specs.
