what kind of plating does this fitting have on it, and is it gonna hold up in rough conditions?
Question by: Jerry W on Jan 12, 2026, 6:45 AM
Carbon steel construction with Dura-Kote plating gives it solid corrosion resistance beyond what standard zinc plating typically offers. That matters when you're running equipment in wet, dirty, or chemically active environments. Mobile machinery, mining setups, shipyard work, these are exactly the kinds of applications this fitting was built around, so it's not just shop-floor duty.

Reckon this fitting would work okay in a hydraulic system on some mining equipment?
Question by: Curt T on Oct 10, 2025, 6:25 PM
These fittings are indeed used in the high-pressure hydraulic systems you find on mobile and mining equipment. They're also used in shipyard, primary metal, wind power, and various other industrial applications.
