Got a refuse truck that needs a valve swap, does this CLS unit handle both pre- and post-compensated sections, or do you have to pick one setup?

Both options are supported within the same assembly. The CLS101 is built to accommodate pre-compensated and post-compensated sections together, so you're not locked into one configuration. That kind of flexibility is pretty useful when you're working with a machine that has mixed load demands, which is common on refuse trucks running multiple hydraulic functions at once.
