what kind of equipment is this pump actually built for? trying to figure out if it fits what we run on the farm and jobsite both

Heavy mobile equipment is where this pump lives. Construction machinery, agricultural equipment, material handling rigs, and truck and bus applications are all called out as fits for it. If you're running hydraulic-powered equipment in any of those categories, the 220 Series was put together with exactly that kind of use in mind.
