What size hose does this fitting take? Just want to make sure I'm getting the right size.

It's designed for use with 1/4 inch push lock hose. The barb end conforms to ISO 12151 standards.

Got a 1/4 in. push lock hose I'm trying to tie into a line with a 1/2-20 male inverted flare swivel on the other end. this fitting cover that combo?

That's what this one's built for. One end is a push lock hose barb sized for 1/4 in. hose and conforms to ISO 12151, so it'll seat right onto standard push lock hose. The other end is a 1/2-20 male inverted flare swivel, which handles the transition over to your inverted flare line.
